Two KK hands on paired flops. Help.
10/20 Absolute 9 handed tables. Both hands in the same session. No reads on my opponents because it's 7:00 AM and I'm not really paying attention because I'm trying to get dressed for work.
Hand 1 EP Open raises to $20, Folded to Hero (K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img])who raises to $30, Folded to Cutoff who Caps. Lose the blinds, EP and Hero call. 3 to the flop for 13.5 SB 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] EP checks, Hero checks, CO checks To the turn for 6.75 BB 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] EP checks, Hero bets, All call To the river for 9.75 BB T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] EP checks, Hero bets, CO folds, EP Calls and MHIG. Hand 2 Folded to Hero in MP (K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]) who raises to $20, Folded to LMP who calls, lose the SB, BB comes along. 3 to the flop for 6.5 SB T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] BB checks, Hero opens, LMP raises, BB folds, Hero calls To the turn for 5.25 BB Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Hero checks, LMP bets, Hero calls. To the river for 7.25 BB 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Hero Checks, LMP bets, Hero calls. LMP shows Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] for the steal that turned into a hand and MHIG. In reviewing my session play, both of these hands made me feel dirty and taken advantage of like a 16 year old sent to Emerald City on Oz. Some help from the boys? And a side note, any subtle play or hand valuation differences when playing on these 9 max tables? |

Re: Two KK hands on paired flops. Help.
Hand 1 is fine.
Hand 2: either 3-bet the flop and bet out on the turn or call the flop and bet out on the turn. Each one has advantages and disadvantages, but I'd be leaning towards 3-betting because I don't believe LMP wouldn't wait to raise on the turn if he had a T (or 66). Regardless, I think you need to bet out on the turn. |

so you want to knock him out with a worse hand? there is no semblance of a draw on that flop.

You think he'll fold?

Re: Two KK hands on paired flops. Help.
people that are simply trying to roll over you with nothing will be hard-pressed to call or find a reraise. whether or not this individual is presently doing or is capable of that remains to be seen, but i would not generally want to adopt an aggressive stance on a board like this. standard way ahead/way behind thing.
