Default Seeded Rebuy Structure

Everyone,

I posted a while ago in another forum about devising a ranking system for poker games, tracking "skills," in a number of categories. If you're interested in what we figured out, ask me, but here's my new question.

We've started basically a league, where we'll play a number of games, develop these rankings, and then hold a NL tournament at the end, incorporating the season's play. To reward the better players throughout the season, we're staggering the rebuys in their favor.

If we hold 10 slots open, and it's a $10 tournament, the tenth "seed" can rebuy for only a dollar, the ninth seed for two dollars, eighth for three dollars, up to a $10 allowed rebuy for the number one seed.

Does anyone have any idea how this will influence the structure of the tournament, i.e. will this give as significant an advantage as I think it will to the top seeded players? Is it too much, too little (based on my intention) Or can anyone think of a better way to create a "playoff" structure to this league.

Thanks.
