Estimation of hold\'em winrate adding one horrible player
Say you are playing in a fairly good mid-limit hold em game. You figure you have a pretty decent edge. How much does having one truly horrible player (the guy that plays every single hand, calls with absolutely anything) add to your BB/hour or BB/100 hands? Say you have a baseline of 1.5 bb/hr in the game, what do you think it could be after adding this player to your game?
Change the player to the drunk maniac online at 3 in the morning, who is raising over half his hands preflop, putting in raises post flop etc.. and is destined to lose his stack during your session. There are a lot of variables that could go into this such as your position to the player and how well the table is adjusting to thier play, but I thought it might be interesting to get some guestimations on how much a real bad player can add to your winrate. I know alot of times I will have something to do (maybe go to bed) but I can't pull myself away from the game b/c of that one great player sitting in. |

Re: Estimation of hold\'em winrate adding one horrible player
I was in a $100 buy-in online NL game once where a player moved all-in preflop every hand, then rebought for the full amount whenever he lost. I saw him go through $1500 in about 20 hands, and he apparently lost a lot more before I sat down. My EV in that game was probably a few hundred dollars an hour while it lasted.
