Default Pokerstars Promoting Joe Hackem

This morning, I saw 2005 WSOP winner picture on Pokerstars. Apparently, they signed him to "Team Pokerstars." This can only be a good thing. I'm glad to see that Pokerstars is staking claim to another WSOP Champion and promoting the fish dream that if you play on Pokerstars, you'll become a WSOP champion, too.

Kudos to the marketing team at Pokerstars. Subverts the much touted Potty marketing department, making Potty second rate now in every department.

Thought it was Hachem?

Anyhow, it has to be better than Full Tilt's "Put a jersey on every pro" strategy. Even the fish recognize they dont stand a chance in hell "playing against the pros" on that site.

Pokerstars blog announced it awhile ago, he seems like a good guy for the game and it might be fun to sweat him in a couple of the big tourneys if he plays.

That being said, I'm a little surprised they put him in the lobby with a banner that says 2005 WSOP champ. I would bet there are a bunch of casual poker fans who play on stars, watch the world series of ESPN, don't yet know the outcome and will have it spoiled for them.

Edit: and yes, it's Hachem.

You haven't ever played on FTP? The fish line right up any time a pro sits down at a table. The waiting lists are insane, and the play is some of the worst you will ever see.

The fish LOVE playing with the pros.

They claim he has played over 100k hand on Stars prior to WSOP'05. I doubt his Stars nick was Joe Hachem.

It has been changed, it was THE BLACK this morning.

I guess he either wanted a name change or maybe he wants to have two accounts, so he can have one where he can avoid railbirds.
