Dealer\'s Pay at the WSOP
If 2% of the take was paid to the staff, then here's the numbers I get:
Staff money: $10,000 * 5600 * 2%(0.02) = $1,120,000 Staff: 5 rounds @12 hours each + 1 round of 36 hours = 96 tournament hours. Dealer hours = 560 tables (at the start) + 0 tables (at the end) makes for an average of 280 tables at a given momement. 280 dealers * 96 hours of play = 26,880 dealer hours. Floor hours = 1 floor for every 12 tables (this is a complete guess) = 2,240 floor hours. I assume that anyone beyond floor level is paid on salary and not out of the "staff" pool. I also assume the floor and dealers take the same cut. Total hours = 29,120. Hourly rate = $1,120,000 / 29,120 = $38.46 per hour. Feel free to correct / argue with my assumptions, guesses and math. -- Scott |

Re: Dealer\'s Pay at the WSOP
Do a search. There is a "several" page thread about 2 months ago dealing with this same thing and has been discussed to death.
