Default Overcard Flop Raise

I still don't quite grasp when a flop raise with overcards makes sense. In this case, I figured there was good chance I had 6 outs. I decided to pop the flop bet to get a free card. I did get the free card, but I'm not sure it made any sense to begin with.

Ultimate Bet 0.50/1 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
4 folds, Hero raises, 3 folds, BB calls.

Flop: (4.50 SB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB bets, Hero raises, BB calls.

Turn: (4.25 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks.

River: (4.25 BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks.

Final Pot: 4.25 BB

Here is a great thread about raising overcards. A must read if you haven't.

My instinct is to bet the river here. It seems to me there's more than a one-in-five chance the BB folds.

I think if BB folds, he didn't fold a better hand.

I agree, NEVER bet that river, if ur beat by 1 pair his loose butt will call, and if he missed a draw, hes fold. there is no +EV to betting that river
