A few hands from last night
All of these hands made me pause for a moment. Thought I would post them. No real maniacs in these hands but it is a $10+1.

If he's been involved in a lot of hands then this might be a good time to try and double up. The obvious problem is you are probably dominated more than you will be dominating him. Other cases are toss-ups. I would lay it down and try to pick some chips back up when you have FE. Re: A few hands from last night
How's he going to play the flop on hand 3, it was pushed back to him, so he's going to be all-in. I would call and feel comfortable with my decision as I could've also pushed preflop anyway.

Re: A few hands from last night
I would push it pre-flop. If I didn't push it, I would call and rely on my post-flop play. I think raising to 150 looks like a weak play and invites a push from a loose player.
Hand 1... I like the stop-n-go, but I would lean towards folding on hand 1. The stop-n-go would be giving the other guy too good of odds to pass up with most hand he would raise with. |

Re: A few hands from last night
But most people don't consider odds when they get to the flop as I've told you. It is hard to call a stop-and-go when you have ace high or something. Say he has AQ and the flop comes K 9 4. Pretty tough call that one. Anyway as I say it is a close one for me between fold and stop-and-go, but I believe both are way better than a push

Re: A few hands from last night
I'm glad I posted. My decisions are worse than I thought.
Hand #1 - Fold Hand #2 - Call. Without the limper is this still a fold? Hand #3 - Fold. I think pushing this hand would have been better. Hand #4 - Push. Got called by both BB and limper. |

Re: A few hands from last night
#1 stop & go
#2 call, only 6 bb left, AJo is too strong to muck #3 Volto probably saw this as a blind steal. I would have open pushed or limped in CO. I think limping is better than raising (can't raise 1/4 to steal 1/8 of your stack. Open pushing is best because you may very well be committed if pushed over the top from the CO. In early position I muck. #4 push w/ 2bb left this isn't even close comments appreciated on my #3 |

Re: A few hands from last night
If you call hand 2 then the limper will almost certainly call getting huge odds and now you have to win a pot three-handed with AJo, which simply doesn't happen very often, one will have you dominated, or at the very best, one of your outs (more than likely an ace) will be gone. Also, you're not in the blinds, so you have nothing committed to this hand. A call here violates everything about the gap concept.
Not to mention the blinds may decide to come along for the ride too, and one could still wake up with a hand, which has you utterly crushed, 6bb is fine for open pushing, but calling an EP limper and an all-in from a 7bb stack in MP? Nah, I'll pass, but thanks. |
