Default Most Finishes In a Row Out-of-the-Money?

I 3-table the 50's and recently finished out of the money 12 straight tourneys. Over the course of many 50's I am 39% ITM with 18 ROI. Wonder if anyone has had more than 12 in a row outside the money?

the search function would be great for such a question.

i believe that the longest stretch anyone came up with was 24, though one guy had a typo and said 78.

Do you think that this Q uestion would be F requently A sked?

I don't particuarly like being rude to noobs, but also someone spent a lot of time writing the FAQ to prevent "obvious" questions coming up over and over again.

The answer is that 12 isn't bad, most regulars will have had worse than this.

Don't let me deter you from posting, but do try to read the FAQ, there's a lot of stuff in there that will help you.

Personally I dont care how often the same questions are asked.

Anyway...
Since I've been keeping track my stats are very much like yours I have played mostly 50s 19% ROI, 38% ITM. Longest streak I've had is 14. That streak was actually 23 games without anything better than 3rd and 29 games without a 1st.

BRUTAL

This question has been asked a lot of different ways about variance and how big of a downswing will naturally occur. The answer is far larger than you can possibly imagine. I always keep 500$ to play the 50s always withdrawing anything above that and I'll go a month without having to add more and then I'll have to reload another 500 then go 200 deep into my 3rd 500 (1200 downswing).

It happens. When you're getting beats, being outplayed, on tilt, unfortunate run ins with big hands all happen at the same time...its gnarly

you're verging on being my least favorite poster of all time.

we're all happy you don't care and all, but, oh wait, we don't actually care, as a group. the idea is that if there's a group of questions that are, oh, i dunno, answered in a post stickied to the top of the forum, people shouldn't even have to think about asking them, as well, the answers are clearly right under their noses.

but yeah, what do i know, i just oh, personally asked a gross or so posters, as opposed to asking someone who's been registered for 2 weeks what they don't care about.

This is just a suggestion, but it might be a good idea to keep more than 10 buyins (you have less if you include rake) on your account.

If a new poster has plans to use this forum as a continuous resource, they should first take some time to get caught up on what has already been discussed. So, I could understand a question such as:

"Hey, I'm a dumb noob who has no idea how to use this forum. Can someone point me in the direction of how I might get caught up to speed on what you have already discussed?"

Maybe, though, you plan on posting 1 or 2 questions here and then plan to cease using this forum. That could explain why you might not care to dig up the answer.

something like that. people who don't try to look for stuff can probably in the future expect to see a lot fewer pages and pages of answers from me, and more and more of this:

You would be a fool to listen to a word anyone in this thread is saying....

Just meditate on this thought:

Here was the first one I could find in my 2005 spreadsheet. it was 25. It wasn't my worst. I ended up with a 14.1% ROI over that "block" of 750.
