You have too big a stack/too weak a hand to push here.

Probably. Bring the math, I know some people know how to quantify this around here. What's the "focal point". Both of how good of a hand or how big of a stack, a few exampes would be appreciated.

Yeah you should fold here, almost no opponents will be tight enough 3 handed to make this correct to push. If your hand was KTo for example, then pushing is correct. Or if you had like 1600-1800 chips your play would be correct.

I think its a GOOD push. It's really bad luck that you ran into 2 big hands. Reason I believe its a good push,

1. you have a decent hand 3 handed.
2. the blinds are HUGE now, you dont have THAT many chips, one pass will take 450 (1/4) of your chips.
3. You have a pretty good chance of stealing the blinds because you have enough chips to hurt the other players.
4. If you fold here, the blinds hit you, and you dont have as much leverage to steal blinds the next round.

Im still pretty new to sngs (but not poker) so take this with a grain of salt.

hope this helps, Brian
