Default Which is worse? PF or Flop? A Party $11 hand...

Sorry, converter down.

I've got 625. Blinds are 25/50 (go up in 3 hands). We are 8 handed.

I get AsTs in CO. MP limps (started hand with 960), I raise to 175, MP calls.

Flop is 9h, Jc, Qs. MP pushes, I call.

With that kind of flop, you are most likely going to get called. How many outs do you reasonably think you have? Assuming you get called, are you getting proper odds to make that push? What percentage of the time does he have to fold to make it the right play?

I'm fresh outta answers, and full of questions. Wheee.

Nick

Seriously, I push preflop. 125 chips in that there pot. It's a kind of PVS, but with a very strong hand, he's not shown any strength, will more than likely lay down his hand.

I do not like the raise of $175 PF, if you are going to play for a raise pretty much move all-in. Or fold PF, if you are not going all-in. Raising the amount you did puts in the post flop situation you were in. I would call the flop all-in if I was in the situation. Your pot odds are allright, and you will be in a terrible chip situation if you fold.

Thanks guys.

I guess I only raised this much to try and steal as cheaply as I could. There were 125 chips in the pot and I guess I didn't see that as enough to risk my stack over, but I certainly see how my PF choice made the flop much harder. I'll just push next time.
