Default About time I get to show one of these!

My second Royal, the first one was on PokerStars and for some reason I bet on the river and the guy folded so now I have a bit of redemption and actually got to show it down. Now if these guys would have open-folded I would be pissed!

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (7 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is UTG with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Hero posts a blind of $0.5.
2 folds, CO calls, Button calls, SB completes, Hero (poster) raises, CO calls, Button calls, SB folds.

Flop: (7 SB) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero bets, CO calls, Button folds.

Turn: (4.50 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, CO checks.

River: (4.50 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, CO checks.

Final Pot: 4.50 BB

I'd be impressed...if it was in spades.

Just curious, math wizards, what are the odds of hitting a Royal Flush? Of flopping one?

Unless you're playing on a high-hand jackpot table, I find your play on the later streets confusing...

Assuming that you started out holding 2 cards that make this possible, it's 1 in 19,600 to flop the royal.

If my math is right, then it's about 1 in 1,960 to end up with a royal by the river (assuming you use both hole cards).

You can turn off the auto-muck and bet the turn.

If you care about money you might want to consider betting the turn. You have what's known as a "Royal Flush," and that's usually a pretty decent hand. Your equity on the turn is probably at least 51%, so I think a bet is in order. I think you will win more than your fair share.

That's just me though. I care more about the money than showing my hand to a bunch of random idiots so they can all type "VNH" as if I incurred it through some great skill on my part. Guess I'm just old fashioned like that.

Nice royal flush. You picked up $4.50, a monster pot... well done.

BET THE TURN. BET THE RIVER. If you are that desperate to show your hand down, you can unclick auto-muck and then click show hand when people fold.

Edit: Poster aboves reply owns this one.

missing two BB with a Royal Flush will probably end up being a big leak for you, you're going to want to plug it soon.
