Yeah, so the subs and amps got stolen out of my car. I'm in Austria right now and my sister was using it back in Canada (Calgary). I need a new amp just to drive the speakers, and I have to guide my sister through the process. The last thing I want to do is send her to get it herself, the salesman will eat her alive!!!
Any car audio buffs out there have any suggestions for a good deal in Canada (as in, cheap but good )? Preferably 4x75W, or do you think 35W per channel should be good? Thanks, and sorry if the wattage numbers are a little off, it's been a while. I forget the standard levels, but I think they're around there. -freq |

i have a jl 75x4 that seems to work really well, but i'm not sure it would qualify as 'cheap'.

yeah, JL is pretty good stuff. I had a seperate JL amp powering my subs...key word "had". I'm not gonna replace those though.
So far, I've found the Alpine MRP-F240 40W x 4, but Alpine lists it's CAN$ price range at around $400. I'd definitely like to find something cheaper...not so cheap as to severly affect sound quality though. Any more ideas? |

i bought a Jensen about 4 years ago (50x4) hi-low pass filters. It was $199 at walmart. I know what your'e thinking but it really worked well. I ran all my components off it and it cranked. Also never once had a problem with it. G.L. Jay

I never thought of Walmart, good call. I hate the place, but if I can find it cheap...
