Party 109 flop push 5-handed. What do you think?
I wanted to protect my hand against overcard outs, and figured between my folding equity and my outs, it was time to make a move. Is this standard, or should i have waited for a better spot?
Also, how is the preflop play? Should i just have folded or completed? Re: Party 109 flop push 5-handed. What do you think?
First I should preface this by saying I don't play the 100s.
Preflop - I'm really not a fan of the microraise, especially when it requires you put in a fourth of your chips. My play here would largely depend on the tighness of the blinds and when the blinds are increaing next. If the blinds are tight, and its going to go to 150/300 on my next post, I'll most likely shove all in here. If the blinds have been playing loose (and by the BBs flop call it looks like they have) and blinds just moved up, I'd fold and wait for another hand. Baring any reads, I think my default play would be to just muck. Flop - I like the push. You have a ton of fold equity and even if you are called you figure to be about a coinflip. A quarter of your stack is already in the pot you might as well defend it. |

I'm amazed Villian even made that call... [/ QUOTE ] Not really. Considering the overbet on the flop and the mini-raise PF, he might not be as scared of an opponent showing him an A here. |
