Default Bellamy Road should win the Derby

After what I saw this horse do on the weekend in New York, it would be hard to imagine him losing in Kentucky.

Wow, simply amazing.
This horse was hand ridden most of the way and check the fractions below. He won by almost 18 lengths and made it look far to easy. BTW, George Steinbrenner owns him.

Off at 4:47 Start Good for all . Won Ridden Out. Time , :23, :46, 1:09 4/5, 1:34 2/5, 1:47, Clear59. Track: Fast.
3 - Bellamy Road ...... 7.10 4.90 4.10
4 - Survivalist ...... 6.10 5.00
1 - Scrappy T ...... 5.90
$2 Exacta 3-4 Paid $39.20
$2 Trifecta 3-4-1 Paid $254.00

Prediction-He wins the Triple Crown

no horse has won the derby with just two preps since 1956. and BR's first 2005 race was only a $35K allowance.

jockey Castellano has never ridden for roses before.

there are 2 more major stakes to go, plus High Fly is no slouch either (not that Zito cares). even Servis/Elliott could salvage something at the Lex.

did you have Empire Maker for the triple crown too?

You make good points no doubt but after seeing the display this horse put on makes me wonder if this will be the next legitimate champion.

We will see.
