I see alot of ridiculous bets on-line. Hands where there is like 100 bucks in the pot and someone bets like 500 into it on a rag flop. Does this mean that they hold pockets or dont want anyone to call the bet? I had a hand i bet 200 with AK blinds are 50-100 and someone just calls on the button...flop comes out 8 2 4 all diff. suits..i check and he goes all-in for another 100 ...i folded but did i fold the best hand...any comment is welcome.

if it was only for another 100, you should be calling for A or K draw. What buyin are you talking about?

We need to know your stack sizes to know if it's an over bet. Don't worry when illogical players over bet. It's their mistake b/c you'll only be calling with a better hand. If they do it so much that they can't possibly have the hands they're representing then someone will call them out. Sometimes I'll check-over raise a LAG player because enough call any check-raise out of pride. Then I'll push on the turn and get called with some outlandish sh_t.

how is $100 a huge overbet into a pot of $550?
and more importantly, how in the world could you fold AK for $100 more in a $650 pot? |
