Default Another Hollywood Remake

I don't usually bitch and moan about stuff like this. But, I just found out about this summer film remake and it gave me a sick feeling.

The original is my favorite sports movie.

yeah man i hate remakes too and i had ill feelings till i clicked on the link and saw billy bob thornton is in the movie. he is the [censored] man and i will definately see it if he's there. but you are right probably won't be as good as the original

ugh, i just turned on sci-fi channel and there is this gay remake of the shining.

That was on network TV a few years back (its the one with the guy from Wings I assume). Apparently it was more in line with the book than the Nicholson movie.

Yeah, King really hated the version that Kubrick did so much that he went so far as to "disown" it I guess. Kubrick really did change a lot about that story, but he made it his own and made a pretty good film out of it. I never did see the tv miniseries version. Like most miniseries, it was probably terrible.
