Walt Harris has taken the head coaching job at Stanford. These morons here at Pitt have been wanting to fire Walt, but because of the way the season worked out, the couldn't. They told Walt he wouldn't get an extension so instead of being a lame duck coach, he went and took the Stanford job.

GREAT news for the program... you can say we're in the Fiesta Bowl because of a crappy BCS system but the fact is we are there. It's a HUGE boost to recruiting and people have been coming out the woodwork now interested in Pitt. Because our Admin is full of morons though, they let Walt go which is also going to kill anything Pitt could have built from this.

Now because of all this delay, several of the guys they were interested in already got jobs. We're left now with guys like Wannstedt who has failed his last 2 gigs in the pros, Mark Whipple, Steelers QB coach and Bob Davie, former ND rejected coach. Great list of canidates we got there isn't it?

So now for the Fiesta Bowl, we'll have Florida's coach coaching Utah and Stanford's coach coaching Pitt.
