Nut flush draw + two over cards = PUSH?
Small Ladbrokes tournament. Its final table time 9 left, but only 3 get prizes, so this is almost like SNG.
Anyway to the hand: Im dealt A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] on BB, blinds 50/100 I have 2000 EP limps with 3500 MP limps with 6000, others fold, I check. Flop comes 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I make it 200, EP calls, MP miniraises. Only read about MP is that he only called a raise with KK earlier, and doubled up that way. I think that if he have something like A9 its almost a coinflip, and if he have TT im even a favourite. And I think there is also small chance he is folding, if I push allin. What makes me worried is EP, he have just called two times and first time from EP. So I can just call the additional 200 and try to draw cheaply and get away of hand if I dont hit or push it here, I think folding isint an alternative |

I say you should try to draw cheaply. If you were in a better chip position, I would say that you should push, not only because you're probably a favorite, but because it'll be great for your table image. As it is, I'd say that you should stay tight and hopefully the other players will knock each other out, giving you a chance to "fold your way into the money" as they say.

You really needed to pull a Fossilman on this flop. Push outright!

Re: Nut flush draw + two over cards = PUSH?
There are a few advantages to pushing here. One, he might have top pair and put it down to such a big raise. Two, you have a ton of outs (if he hasn't hit a set, or has a pair bigger than jacks). If he's holding top pair or tens, you have jacks, aces, and nine flush outs. If you don't push and the flush hits, it might kill your action. So if he's a player who would call here with top pair, you get paid off if you hit the flush. If you just call the min raise, he might lay it down if a spade hits. Just my two cents.
