Default flopped set in small blind

typical $15 - $30 game.Three players call

late position player raises - I call with

pocket sixes - 5 players call.Flop is

K 10 6 rainbow. Should I try to maximize

pot by checkraising the turn or should I

try to knock out gutshot draws and other

weak hands? Results to follow

You should maximize the pot by betting the flop and then 3-betting when you get raised by a King or some draw. 3-betting may also get a week draw such as J9o to fold and leave their dead money in the pot.

Check-calling the flop and then check-raising the turn probably gets less money in the pot than 3-betting the flop and betting the turn.

Play your small sets fast. You're going to get raised by the initial raiser. Bet, get a couple of callers, a raise, and you re-raise. Seems to me that this is the best opportunity.
