ESPN Signs Poker Deal With Trump
Maybe its old news but I thought id post it anyway.
ESPN Signs Poker Deal With Trump: ESPN has signed a multi-year deal with Trump Taj Mahal Hotel and Casino to air the U.S. Poker Championship, the network announced Wednesday. ESPN will air four one-hour shows from the September-October event during the first quarter of 2005. As poker on cable has increased in popularity over the past year, ESPN has significantly increased its repeat airings of the annual World Series of Poker. The Trump deal will expand the network's poker offerings. "We are extremely pleased with this agreement and to be working with Trump Taj Mahal," said Mike Antinoro, executive producer, ESPN original entertainment. "The U.S. Poker Championship is an exceptional event and gives our poker coverage a one-two punch in that we now have the two premier poker events." |

Re: ESPN Signs Poker Deal With Trump
Didn't ESPN used to air the Poker Championships back in the late 90's?

Re: ESPN Signs Poker Deal With Trump
they did the 2003 US-Poker Championship.
ESPN actually just showed the replay of it earlier tonight...it's the one where Hellmuth collapses at the back after getting rivered by trip 7's. so, basically, it just looks like they are expanding their coverage of the event. but it's still good news. |
