Pokerstars planned to send 600 players, of which 100 on FPPs and 500 cash qualifiers. Already 501 has cash qualified. It is the same story elsewhere?

Courtsey of Arsene Lupin III: 1256 as of 5/2, excluding Party It is widely believe they will cap the field at 6600 (200 tables, 11 handed, three opening days) and I think it will easily reach that. |

I'd predict 10 handed with 200 daily alternates before 11 handed tables. But then again, Harrahs is running this, who knows.
Maybe I don't have the best info though. |

They are definitely capping it at 6600. Now if Paris Hilton or Michael Jordan wants to be #6601, then they would probably accomodate them, but there are definitely not going to be many more than 6600. They only have so many dealers and tables.

where did you see that stars was only planning on sending 600 this year.
they sent 500 last year when the total was 2600. stands to reason that with 6000 or so expected this year that Stars would sent more than 600. Additionally...Stars is bigger now then it was last year...and it was pretty obvious fairly quickly that they were going to be on a 1000+ player pace. Just based on the number of double-shootouts, $33-rebuy tourneys for a seat and the 1kFPP 1-seat guaranteed they appear to have a minimum of 7 or 8 qualifiers a day. I suspect the extra action on the weekends (with the $650 satellite) brings their average close to 10 players a day (or 900 total qualifiers over 90 days leading up to it....just rough guessing though). |

Stars is at 500 cash qualifiers as of today. I think their rate is going to slow down, though. Their Sunday 650 has typically had 300+ players, but today it only had 217. That might just be because of Mother's Day though.
