Default Blind battle

Villain is 27/17/3.53
Definetely too agressive.
I think he would bet a J, A or a flush draw on the turn.
So what can he have? A small PP or K-hi? Do you call the river?

Don't rule out strong hands and don't call the river. Hyperaggressive players don't check that turn without a purpose.

this is where hand reading becomes more than putting a player on a specific hand. this situations are what can make the game fun and interesting, though this one is pretty straightforward and not particularly interesting, but one that comes up all the time

he's an aggressive player, and we need to decipher his turn check and figure out what it could mean. it could really mean one of 3 things

1. he hit an A and doesn't want you to fold
2. he has a hand like KK that he wants to go to showdown with but is afraid he'll get raised
3. he has a hand like 98s that he went a little overboard with and now wants to give up (rare)

the reason #3 is rare is because most of the time that he's weak, he'll bet at that apparent scare card as a bluff.

a similar situation is when someone 3-bets you preflop then checks the flop. if he's weak, he's checking because he wants to see a showdown cheaply. or he could be strong. so while it may seem like taking a stab would be worth it in the off chance that he's not being tricky, you really have no chance of winning.
