How\'s my line on this
Paradise Poker 0.10/0.20 Hold'em (9 handed) converter
Preflop: Hero is CO with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. UTG calls, 3 folds, MP3 calls, Hero calls, 1 fold, SB completes, BB checks. Flop: (5 SB) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 players) SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, MP3 checks, Hero bets, SB folds, BB calls, UTG calls, MP3 calls. Turn: (4.50 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players) BB checks, UTG checks, MP3 checks, Hero checks. River: (4.50 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players) BB bets, UTG calls, MP3 calls, Hero folds. Final Pot: 7.50 BB I thought I'd take a stab at knocking some people out on the flop and fold to a raise. I had a weak flush draw and some backdoor straight possibilities, plus an overcard. When the J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] hit the turn I thought about betting again to try and take it down there, but with 3 people still in the pot I thought that was unlikely to happen. Should I have bet the flop? Should I have bet the turn? |

Re: How\'s my line on this
without a specific description of the situation to convince me otherwise, i'd fold preflop.
i like the flop bet and the rest of the hand... |

Re: How\'s my line on this
I have learned, and would advise any other newer player who would listen: I consider K 10o to be a trap hand (along w/ QJs, KJ) and hard to play for newbies like myself even when in good position if against tight solid players - for now I fold preflop (until I become a postflop master, muhahaha), or when up against players even worse then me (takes some looking...)

I dig a raise here for the button. I guess against unknowns a fold is okay.

Re: How\'s my line on this
The table was pretty passive so I think a raise to buy the button would work. I also think I would have driven a couple out post flop as well.

Re: How\'s my line on this
i started my career folding PF. limping is a good way to work through marginal situations. raising can lead to trouble unless you are comfortable here. it won't make a huge difference one way or the other, but reevaluate your play later.
i'd raise loose limpers. i'd fold vs tight limpers. i'd call occasionally or readless. flop bet sucks and is much worse than any of your 3 PF choices. |
