Hero (t4950) SB (t4255) BB (t2570) UTG (t5875) UTG+1 (t4820) MP1 (t10150) MP2 (t3295) CO (t15930) Preflop: Hero is Button with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. i have two limpers before me and im on the button. so what is the best play here call and limp in or raise it up right here at this point of the tournament. |

Raise. If you call, sb and bb are almost guaranteed to also be in the hand, and you are letting two possible bad hands see the flop. Take charge of the hand with a nice raise and limit the pot to only a few people. You got a good hand and the bigger stacks are more likely to try to look at flops with crappy hands to hit it big against someone, so make the limpers pay.

Which players limped? I think that's pretty important.
Also was there a lot of limping going on? I'd advocate a raise here nearly every time (again it would help knowing who limped and in what position they limped from). I also think you can raise here with hands like KQ, KJ, AT, etc. Take control of the hand. |

Raise. You have position after the flop, so you can be more aggressive. Limping is not terrible.

Raise between 3bb and 5bb. I would probably raise to 600 here. No use letting the blinds in for free (or cheap for the SB). This way if the flop comes 7 2 2, you know that they probably didn't make a boat. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
