Steroids now out of Baseball?
Can't say 100% of course but it sure appears that steroids are out of Baseball now. And I like it. To me there was no sport in Bonds clubbing over 70 homeruns while on the juice.
Probably the happiest guy that steroids are out has to be Manny Ramirez. All those years where the sluggers were putting up ungodly homerun totals and Manny was quitely hitting his usual 40 per year while being, I believe, clean. Now without the roids the others have come back to earth and Manny's still hitting as usual. Of course, Manny being Manny, he probably doesn't even give a shiit. |

Re: Steroids now out of Baseball?
Bonds is still hitting HR's at a clip of one per 8 AB's, which is just stuipd (pace for 60 if he received as many ABs as the year he hit 73, well within normal variance for something like the HR). He'd be *cruising* to the first triple crown in like...forever if they'd pitch to him.

Ted Williams won two Triple Crowns and didn't win the MVP award either time. Nor did he win the award the year he hit .406.

If you think he did use them and is now clean, how can you explain his absurd numbers now?

Re: Steroids now out of Baseball?
I don't know.
I'm merely pointing out that just because he isn't hitting 73 anymore doesn't mean he's clean, if he was, in fact, using steroids that year. He's hitting at a very similar rate. It's slightly lower, but hey, the guy *is* like 41 years old. Sammy is dropping off dramatically at a younger age just as one would expect. Bonds is superhuman. |

Re: Steroids now out of Baseball?
I dunno, I personally don't think he ever took them.
But if he was taking them and now has stopped, whats the explanation then for his big numbers this season and in the past? |
