I raise the first hand -- whether or not you push, you are effectively telling BB he is playing the hand for all his chips. BB probably has a flush draw or TP. I would probably raise it to $50 and make him push or fold. An overpair on this flop looks very good.
Second hand -- Push. |

both hands look like pushes to me
#1- opponent has <70 bets to start the hand. Given his flop bet it's push or fold time. On that flop + that flop bet + preflop action it's really tough to put them on a higher overpair or a flopped set, so I'm pushing here. #2- This is a little different because a case could be made for smooth calling to hope for overcalls. (Problem is someone "could" have ahigher FD which pushing would eliminate) Any case though you are playing this hand for your stack given the flop. a push is a slight overbet (like 8 more then pot?) but it works ok. if you call you're in a bad spot if the others fold as there will be 62 in pot and 70 in your stack, but if others call, it ensures that you will be putting the rest in. |

The first hand I fold. The two players sitting behind me affect my decision. If it was heads up, I'd play it differently, but I'm not too keen on playing for my whole stack with JJ. Just me though.
The second hand I push. I don't think you want to risk bringing any other flush draws along and I think a push gives you some fold equity if the preflop raiser's not a total donkey. If someone is laying in the weeds ready to checkraise, then you still have outs. |

I like pushing on both hands. The second hand is much easier because your hand is very strong and you wouldn't mind taking this pot down now.
The first one I would also push, but it's closer. I don't like calling because there are a few hands that wouldn't mind a cheap turn (pairs, flush or straight draws). I think your hand is ahead here more often than not, so folding is not really an option. So push. |
