Default pokertracker analysis question

On pokertracker I have been rated as semi-loose aggressive/passive. I understand that one should ideally shoot for tight aggressive but I have adjusted the range of hands I play to the typically loose tables that I play. My question is this: what is the aggressive/passive part of this analysis? I understand what the terms mean but in what way am I both? Thanks!

Are you saying you are rated as aggressive preflop and passive postflop? Also, how loose is semi-loose? The most helpful would be if you can post your VP$IP, PFR% and Aggression Factor. You can look up the AF by clicking the "More Detail..." button and looking for the stat about 2/3 of the way down. Make sure you uncheck the "Include Pre-flop numbers in Total Aggression Factor calculation" checkbox at the top if it is on.

According to the default auto-rate rules, semi-loose aggressive/passive:

VP$IP: between 20 and 30%
PFR%: >5%
Agg. Factor: <2

As the previous reply said, please post your stats. Also, the number of hands over which this sample represents would be helpful.

VP$IP: 29.65%
PFR(i'm assuming this is preflop raise): 8.40%
AF: 4.21

If you are playing full ring (10 players), your VP$IP is way too high. Try to get it down to 17-20%. PFR% is good.

If you are playing 6max, your PFR% is too low. I'm not very experienced at 6max, but I believe 15% is what you should be shooting for to start until you are able to identify where other raises are +EV.

Your AF looks good. Does it include preflop #s?

By the way, what stakes are you playing and how many hands does this database represent?

my AF doesn't include preflop #.
it's 10 handed, .25-.50 and some .50-1.
the database is about 1,000. I'm still waiting for my neteller account to be verified so I can buy pokertracker and get more hands in.

You can in no way be called passive . . . in fact if your sample wasn't small I would say your AF is too high. You're either raising too frequently or calling too infrequently. But with only 1000 hands I'm not sure I would worry about it just yet.

As the other poster said, if you're playing full ring your VP$IP is too high. This stat converges very quickly so with 1000 hands I can safely say you are too loose for $1/$2. .25/.50? I've never played it so I don't really know. My guess is you're playing late position hands from up front which can hurt you badly as you encounter tighter, more aggressive games. You may also be playing unsuited connectors that should probably be dropped. I'm just guessing here.

Thanks for the tips, you're pretty much right on with your assumptions.
