Re: Halloween in Puyallap, Washington. Gotta love it
I almost posted this too, completely absurd, even for Puyallup.

Re: Halloween in Puyallap, Washington. Gotta love it
Yes, that is re-goddamn-diculous...
This makes me wonder if there isn't a 4th reason involved here that I normally hear from people who don't like Halloween... A Christian reason... In this case the superintendant wouldn't be able to come out and say, "I don't think children should be celebrating the Devil's Holiday" so instead of using her religion to back up her decisions she comes up with a PC reason. Of course, I don't know the superintendant so maybe she's just a complete moron... Either way, I'm glad I don't have kids in Puyallup. |

At this point, public schools can do nothing to surprise me. If I had any kids, they wouldn't get anywhere near one.
If I say more I'll be in the wrong forum, so I'll stop here. |

Who woulda thought we'd come full circle. When I was growing up, the only people opposed to holloween were a few misguided Christian. Now it's the witches that don't want it. Good God.

Re: Halloween in Puyallap, Washington. Gotta love it
It's nice to know that this is on the top of the superintendent's list. What a great way to use taxpayer money in schools.
Like christmas parties in school are a less of a distraction. Or is that next? I heard even the wiccans are pissed off about this. Being used in this way. They didn't even call for it. Or so i heard. b |

Re: Halloween in Puyallap, Washington. Gotta love it
Funny thing. My lil' niece wants to go out as a witch. (She's not in puyallap). I think i oughtta dress like a dirty priest* and take her to the supers' house for a treat.
*Maxim magazine had photos of some costumes. One was a priest with an 'angry corner kid' sewed to his zipper. I thought it was hysterical. btw...an angry corner kid, for those that don't know, or if it's by another name, is a doll that's about kid size that you put lean facing into a corner and it looks like it's in trouble. b |

Re: Halloween in Puyallap, Washington. Gotta love it
hey man. you can think this is ridiculous all you want but the simple fact is, there are witches out there. real, live witches. And letting a bunch of hoodlums run around in costumes that mock and degrade their rich culture and heritage is socially irresponsible. Sickening, just sickening.
