standard calldown?
I've been running bad lately and doubt has started to creep into my play. It seems like I'm being popped on the turn a ridiculous amount of the time. This is superstandard v an unknown, right?

Re: standard calldown?
Getting 7.7:1 on the turn I think you have to call because he could have QJ, a pair/draw combo, etc. and you have outs to hit your 9 outer (we'll discount to 7 because of the tainted possibilities).
Then on the river when you're getting nearly 10:1, I make the crying call as well. If it's a mistake at that point it's a small one and you can use it to get real read on the unknown, which may be worth the slightly -EV call. |

Re: standard calldown?
standard, but only because you have outs. ur almost always behind, but often only to 2 pair. i agree also that w/out improving you still have to call the river as there's some reasonable chance ur opponent was semibluffing a draw (or pair w/draw)
