![]() Could someone explain sidepots to me in a manner that I can explain them to someone else. i.e. player A goes all in for 100. player B calls the 100. player c raises 100 making it 200 to player d. player d calls the 200. does player d put all 200 in the side pot? Does player b have to call the raise or just play the main pot. Thanks. |

![]() I find it easier to think about it that way: The maximum a player can win from any other player is the ammount he invested into the pot himself. If other players have invested more, then all additional money can only be won by those players. Basically, you just do the following: 1. Chose the player who invested the least into the pot and still has cards. 2. If he has the best hand of all hands showing, award him an ammount up to his total bet from all the other players' bets who were involded in the hand. 3. Muck his hand. 4. Repeat 1-3 until all hands are mucked. This doesn't cover split pots, but you should get the idea. > Does player b have to call the raise or just play the main pot. If you don't call a raise and still have chips you lose all rights to the pot and have to muck your hand. > does player d put all 200 in the side pot No. Only 100 cu Ignatius |
