Default Lost Power

Hi, I'm a newbie so excuse me if the post has been done before.

I was just playing a multi table $20 table holdem tournament on Party, and at the final table I'm sitting in 3rd place when my power goes out. By the time it comes back on, I am out of chips. Anyone have any similar tales of technological woe?

Buy a UPS(uninterrupted Power Supply)/Surge protector. It supplies your computer with a regulated stream of electricity and will improve the life of your system. Charges while u play and its will save you if you have a surge/ short outage while in a big pot or tournament.

Time for my cool story.

About a year ago I was playing a $10 2 table sit and go at Party. I got off to a good start, getting 300 or so chips when my internet connection goes out. About 20 minute later, I manage to get back on. There were about 9 people left, and I had been blinded down to 25 chips, with my big blind of 100 about to come. I win the hand, triple up. Small blind comes, I win the hand, quadruple up. I then proceed to increase my stack of 25 to 2000 with 9 all ins over the course of the next 30 hands. I eventually ended up with third place.

This works fine as long as your cable still has power. I just was blinded out of 2 - $20SNG's when the power and cable went out.

Here in Ft. Myers the comcast cable connection is still bad and it has been almost a year since the hurricane came through. Mine goes out from time to time. Not as bad as it was though. I was at the final table of the first Crypto Downtime Tourney and third in chips. By the time I got back on...I was out. Still made the cash but I could have finished higher.

One more addition to my cool story...

This was right after the WSOP event where Jesus had one chip and kept winning all ins. So I started calling myself Jesus for a month
