51 started. The play's pretty bad -- I had one guy at my table lose half his stack in the first two rounds drawing to a flush and a full house.

We're the only two Americans left.

Final two tables. Tom's out, I'm last. I now have 770 chips with 250/500 blinds.

51 entrants, 9 paid. I got 13th and Tim got 12th, so the Americans were bubble boys. There was one other American in the event (I don't think a 2+2er) who was out early.

As Tim said, a lot of terrible play. I've said it before, but low buy-in 24h players are horribly naive about rebuys and don't use them, creating lots of dead money. The buy-in was €3 for 1000 chips. You were allowed 2 rebuys and 1 addon, €3 for 1000 more chips. There are 4 10 minute levels in the rebuy period before the first break.

I took my first rebuy immediately and did well in the first few levels. I got dealt a pat 75432 and made a good pot. I saw some guy check-call after the final draw with a 75432 I don't think he fully understood the game.

I lost a pot and was just above 1000 a minute before break. I then played a hand I would normally muck so I could drop below 1000 and take my 2nd rebuy. I ended up winning a decent pot with a rough nine and had 2500 and didn't have to take the 2nd rebuy. I did take the add-on.

If you've never played at 24h, the blind structure is pretty quick and MTTs will only last 2-3 hours, even if you go all the way. No 4-5 hours to the money like Stars.

Nothing happened for me after the break. The blind structure is particularly bad for a game as swingy and as dependent on betting on hands that can go to crap. I got put out with a nice hand of 4 to the wheel that paired twice and ended up as a Jack that lost to an eight.

Kind of fun for my first TDL tournament adventure. Maybe I'll try again if the opportunity arises. Even with the crapshoot structure, I think the game is soft. Too bad none of these players ever play the cash games

wasn't there a jump from 300/600 blinds straight to 500/1000? that's pretty awful.

That was stakes, not blinds. So 150/300 to 250/500 in blinds, which is still a big jump, but not quite that big.
