Hard to believe that Party $10/$1 are really THIS bad
Today I saw possibly my most pathetic tournament in-the-money finish out of the 200 or so SNGs that I have played.
I played exactly 1 hand not in the big blind (AA) and folded the rest before finally being forced allin. And I finished 3rd! These are YOUR Party $10/$1 opponents: Allin on a non-nut flush draw level 1. Allin top pair 3 kicker. Call an allin pocket 3s vs flop QKA. And on and on. I just sat back and watched 7 terrible players destroy each other while 1 sensible player collected all of the chips before finally busting me as well. Sad, but I'll take the net gain of $9. |

I've seen people do this in all kinds of games up to 200+15 @ party.

If you can do that every other time, you'll make minus $1/game.

Re: Hard to believe that Party $10/$1 are really THIS bad
It is hard to believe sometimes.
A few weeks ago I had just started a tournament, it was still level 1. There were 9 people left, one guy had busted out the first hand. I had 750 chips (of 800). I got disconnected and couldnt get back on PartyPoker for an hour. Later I checked my records to find I had finished 3rd! Made me think maybe I should just join 10 tourneys then quit and see what happens. |
