Question 1: Bet this river or classic case of only called if beaten?

Question 2: Do you generally value bet less often in a S&G than in a ring game?

I do not bet that river because if I get raised I want to shoot myself.

Well, that's why I didn't. But how about the second part? Doesn't this show how value bets are less EV in tournaments?

It depends, I think you still need to value bet but a medium overpair on a scary board is not the place to do it. Change your hand to KK and its much more interesting.

i wouldnt bet the river. like you say, if yor called, your prolly beaten. if he raises your even more beaten.

as for the hand, id have re-raised him on the flop. you have overpair and big stack. find out where you are. a further 200 on him should suffice. if he raises all in its a fold. if he calls your prolly ahead.

you may have been ahead with him having flush drawing and one or two overcards. but i wouldnt be getting involved with him if i knew that.
