Ugh... When should I of folded TT?
Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (8 handed) converter
Preflop: Hero is BB with T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, MP1 raises, MP2 folds, CO folds, Button folds, SB folds, Hero 3-bets, MP1 calls. Flop: (6.50 SB) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero bets, MP1 raises, Hero calls. Turn: (5.25 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero bets, MP1 calls. River: (7.25 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero bets, MP1 raises, Hero calls. Final Pot: 11.25 BB I know I played this horribly. It was heads up on the flop and I've always heard you have to play TT to showdown when it's HU. Should I of folded on the river or before? Villian is a major calling sation. A6o to SD with ace high. |

Re: Ugh... When should I of folded TT?
As I learnt today SOP for this after the flop is check-call, check-call.
Now let's just hope I applied my newfound wisdom correctly. |

Re: Ugh... When should I of folded TT?
I probably wouldn't 3-bet preflop HU out of position against a semi-EP raise.
I don't see any purpose in a river bet, and I definitely don't call a river raise. Rob |

Re: Ugh... When should I of folded TT?
That's what I thought too. But I've heard if you raised PF then you bet the flop no matter what. Plus this is HU, that changes things a lot. I don't think this is a check call.

I understand your caution against EP though. [ QUOTE ] I don't see any purpose in a river bet, and I definitely don't call a river raise. Rob [/ QUOTE ] If I smooth call the PF raise is the turn bet still good? |

Re: Ugh... When should I of folded TT?
No, that's when you flop top pair and are against an aggressor. Unless you're talking about a different thread.
I 3-bet this pf and lead the flop, I call the flop raise, and I think I bet that second king intending to fold to a raise. |

But I've heard if you raised PF then you bet the flop no matter what. [/ QUOTE ] This isn't entirely true, but it's true the vast majority of the time. |

Would you mind listing an exception?

Re: Ugh... When should I of folded TT?
Basically if you're out of position against a lot of players and your hand is hopeless. Like you raise KQo early get 4 or 5 cold callers and the flop comes A high with a flush draw of which you have no part.

Or a multiwaytypehand-value raise on the button and a flop that misses you.
