Default our house

here's some pics of the house my fiance (Erika, aka Sticky Wicket) and I just bought in Vegas...it's an 1800 sq. ft. 1977 built home in a great area....3br/2bath...pool and spa...completely enclosed, stone courtyard, and a 22x15 atrium/"retreat" room...kinda funky....we love it! My mom and Dad are the older folks in some of the pics...the other people are the sellers...we can't wait to move in and fill it up with all the really cool vintage furniture and retro furnishings we've just recently spent a goddamned fortune on....

Erika and I standing outside the front coutyard door.

from the street.

inside the front courtyard.

the kitchen, living room and dining room are all one great big room...

this is the atrium...

the pool, patio and grill...

when we move in and get all our stuff inside, I'll post more pics....also, I'll let all you locals know the details of the Labor Day Party we're gonna have....

sweet crib dude. I have been in the market for a place down in Vegas. My wife and I want a place with a pool like yours. Do you like older properties? My lady wants a place built after 85 but I keep tellin her that they don't make them as well as they used to.

Congrats on the house and engagement! Didn't mention that in the other thread. Any woman who will sit in and play a 2+2 Magoo fest, and talk smack at the table, is a good find.

What's a good website to look at Vegas homes? Been thinking about moving there in a year or so.

we were looking for a long time for a 50s-60s house, and we almost bought one or two - but something was always wrong with it or it was going to be too much work. The ones off of Desert Inn east of the strip are awesome, but out of our price range....

we LOVE older houses with some property...I don't understand all the new developments with zero lots, prefab materials, and a community that looks identical...we wanted a house with some character, some soul.

our house is on a quiet, wide street with other 1970s era houses - it looks like a real neighborhood, you know?

anyway, if you have any questions about the market in Vegas, just pm me...maybe Erika, myself, you and your wife can get together for a drink sometime and we'll fill you in!

Does a house like yours go for 250-300? I hate pre-fabs too and would be looking for a neighborhood type house.
