When Mike is playing against Chan at the casino, why would Chan fold PF?
That can't possibly be a good play. |

If you had A6o - or even AKo - and suddenly discovered your opponent had AA, would you play on? But you say, how could Chan have KNOWN Mike had the AA? That's the point you see. Mike was JUST THAT GOOD!

With 10 bets in the pot you'd play on with A6o against AA?

if you've put in 10 bets preflop with A6o, there's something wrong with you in the first place.
regardless, you play the A6o and pray for 66x on the flop even if you know you are against AA. in 300-600 that would mean there is at least 6,000 in the pot. you'd fold for an extra 300??? why? |

I didn't say that you had "put 10 bets in the pot". I said there were "10 bets in the pot". Which is about what happenned in the movie. A6o can be a 13-1 showdown dog to AA so with 10 bets in the pot you would not be getting pot odds to call. Even if there were 13 bets in pot it would not be worth a call because a good deal of the time you won't see rivers you might win at because you won't be getting pot odds to call the bets to get you there.
