I'm still at the 15/30 level in my OIC at Party with $6447 in my bankroll. I was hoping to finish this up in a week, and I got within 10 BB's on Day 6, but alas, it was not to be. It's now been 10 days and I'm 30 BB's short of my goal.
Unfortunately, I have to take a break for a few days. I'm heading out on a short trip with a couple buddies to go see Sevendust (woo hoo!), and I won't be back till Thursday. If and when I ever do reach my goal, I'm not sure what I'll be doing with the money I've made. This experiment has doubled my bankroll, so I'm not sure if I'll move up in limits or just put the money into savings... Currently, my regular game is 5/10. I play 2 tables online with a $6k bankroll. If I decide to keep my OIC earnings in my bankroll, I'll be around $13,500. Since the 10/20 seemed to be tougher than the 15/30, I don't want to play 10/20 online, but I don't feel like $13k is enough of a roll to play the 15 game for me. Any suggestions anybody? |

Play 5/10 until you have a comfortable sized roll for 15/30. Either that or use the OIC money to keep playing 15/30 until you either have a decent sized bankroll for that limit or you drop down to x dollars. -- Homer |

Send me the dough? Seriously, I'd put it in savings, go on spring break, do something cool with it.

Any suggestions anybody? [/ QUOTE ] Yeah. With your 13.5k , play the 10/20 or 15/30. If you go down to 10k, drop back down to the 5/10 until you have an amount you feel really comfortable with playing 10/20 or 15/30. While your OIC doesn't prove that you can be a long term winner in these games, it does show that you can at the very least hold your own. I suspect you'll do fine in these games. Use this plan and your OIC will give you a shot at moving up in limits far quicker than you might have otherwise. If you go down to 10k and move back down, you got a chance to give it a good try, got some great experience, and increased your bankroll almost 70%. You can't lose. On further thought, this is even better. Take $1500 out. If you want to put $500-1000 in savings, good for you. Use the rest to buy something cool or just go out and do some good partying. Now you have $12000. Play the 10-20/15-30 and drop down if you hit $9000. Worst case, you'll have some extra savings, a 50% bigger bankroll, some great experience, and some fun with your winnings. |
