Two hands for analysis
Both of these are at $50 Party NL tables.
First hand: I am dealt AcAs in the BB. There are 5 limpers and I raise to $4.50. We see the flop 5 handed with about a $23 pot. The flop is Ah Jh 7d. I lead out for $20 and I am called by a player in MP. We both have about $25 left. The turn is a 3h. What do you do here? Hand 2: I raise to $4 w/ AhKh UTG. There are 2 callers and we all have about $45. The flop is 3d 6h 8h. I lead out for $9 and I'm min raised to $18 by MP. LP cold calls $18 and its back to me. What do you do here? Results to come later. |

Re: Two hands for analysis
i think push and call.
is there anything to be said for checking hand one? you want to get all the money in but checking doesn't seem like a good way to do it. i can't really think of a good reason to check but it was my first thought. |

Re: Two hands for analysis
Hand 1:
I don't think you can check here, in case villian has A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] or A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] . If he does have the flush, he's getting all your money anyway, because you're basically pot committed here (and still have 4:1 to redraw against a made flush, and giving yourself almost 4:1 if you know he will bet with the flush anyway and you have to call). Easy push. Hand 2: You're easily getting priced in to call, but beware if the board pairs, because I bet one of them has a set. Also, one of the others might also be on a flush draw, which gives you more implied odds but lessens your outs. |

[ QUOTE ] 1.check fim [/ QUOTE ] What's your play if he bets it back to you? Billy [/ QUOTE ] I may be way off, but I think this is what you want. You're almost getting priced in even against a made flush, (it's about 3.5:1, with 4:1 to win) and you're killing everything else. |

1.check 2.push [/ QUOTE ] 1. would you mind explaining the logic behind checking hand one? 2. seems obvious now that i think about it because the pot is so big but it looks an awful lot like one of them has a set. |

Re: Two hands for analysis
On hand 1
I lost to 8h5h after I went all in. I don't think checking is an option. I can't let an AQ type hand hit a flush on the river for free. On hand 2 I lost to QQ after I went all in and both called. I really felt me overcards were good. The LP caller didn't show, but I'm guessing he had another overpair. |
