Default 10/20 Video (Now With Less Suck)

1/10 the origional size and no inconspicuous format (thanks moose)! Rest of the thread is a copy-paste:

This'll be a bit different. You guys have been watching the videos of some pretty great players. I'm a pretty mediocre player. Not only that, but I recorded a few videos before I got one of a table where I was put in some really marginal situations and made a ton of marginal (and probably some flagrantly incorrect) plays. I also felt like I was constantly pushing my luck just a bit too hard pre-flop. If you like flogging people for [censored] up, you're going to enjoy this (and by all means, flog constructively away).

As a note, the archaic gametime+ doesn't show up in the video (pokerace has issues with BH). The table's pretty uniform. The 3 guys to my left are all really aggressive pre-flop and somewhat weak post-flop, each having a VPIP and PFR of about 35/25, with PFAs of 2.5, 1.5 and 3.0, respectively. The two to my right are loose passive chasers, and they do what chasers do. About half way through the guy two to my right snaps.

If anyone else is ineresting in making these I suggest you search up Spicymoose's thread and dowload camtasia. It's a great program to work with.

Thanks for watching, any and all comments are appreciated.

HI Bryce,
nice video, i think this can be a great tool to learn something, albeit i would prefer complete sessions, even if you are not getting cards.

AT 4:53 you call on the flop with JTo and a 575 board as 3rd player. Thats something I wouldnt do, but what do I know about cards...
At 9:52 you have 98s, again as BB. you defend again vs. 2 players and the board comes 544 with one of your suit. If the cutoff would have bet and SB called, do you call again? Situation would be almost the same, but different players. I guess you do and wonder if you do this too often. Maybe your cards are live and you get 8:1 for your 6 outs and the backdoor flush draw but it seems very marginal to me.
best
u

I love it when you pause to write down "mega donkey" as a note on one guy. Thats exactly the kind of stuff I write.

Most definately. The JTo hand is kind of meh, but this is an easy peel. In other news, "megadonkey" actually carries specific meaning for me beyond disrespect for the player (those sorts of notes are useless). It's my tag for a player who habitually makes aggressive non-sensical bluffs (I watched T-Stone's videos when I was starting out at 5-10, so a lot of his notes system is incorporated into mine).

Some thoughts from a 6max ... less-than-expert.

2:10 - You 3-bet in the BB with TT and it is capped. Then you c/f an ace high two tone flop. I think at least a bet is in order here.

7:42 - You open with KQo and the button 3-bets, BB comes along and you call. Flop is Q96r and you check (going for a check-raise, I assume). I prefer to bet here and hope button raises. Q9 is sufficiently high and close that lots of weakish draws could be there.

11:40 - You open in SB with Q9s, He 3-bets and you call. Flop is QT4r and you c/r. I think I like bet/3-bet here. Turn is an A and you check. Again, I think this is a bet. The turn check also makes the river harder.

13:00 - You open in CO wth KQo and BB 3-bets. You call. Flop is T98 two suits. He bets. I like a raise (and sometimes a cap) here. Having just called, you have no idea where you are on the turn where usually have at least 5 outs and could have more.

16:00 - You open on the button with A3o and BB calls. Flop is Q98 mono in the suit of your 3 and BB bets. I think I just let this go.

I think you can value bet the river when you have Q9d.

I dont get the calldown with Ao3s. I can dig that you call for the lone spade but once at the river, fold.

How low do you go with the steals from sb? I am folding K4o myself. I need K8. :/

FWIW pappapoker seemed very weak tight postflop. Only pandora seemed hard to play against OOP.

Apparently people aren't liking the A3o hand. I think the flop and turn are pretty easy, if I'm behind a pair the spade's worth about 7 outs and the A a few more. If he's on the come I'm ahead a large portion of the time. Paired board on the river I think he's pushing a spade often enough for a call. Am I in the wrong here?
