Default AJs BB Defense of UTG Raise, I Call Down

I found my inner Tommy Angelo. With 25 hands played, Villian seems TAGish. After discussing this with friends, I really think a river raise was warranted. How about the other streets? Can I even call preflop against a TAG's UTG raise?

I have been laying this down recently against a UTG TAG. However, if I came it, I would have called too. However, I would have bet out on the flop to get some information.

Looks OK, but I don't know if it really qualifies as blind defense when it's a UTG raise.

I may just bet the river and call a raise. Although if I checked I probably would check/raise. You can't like your chances if you get 3-bet though.

This hand is begging for more information... I think you need to raise this flop and see where you are at. He could easily have AK here, and you will get paid off on the river when he spikes his A and you beat him with your 2 pair. This seems like an auto-raise on the river.

Why give him credit for AQ or a set here? If he'd 3-bet the flop, perhaps. But with your information I think you are good here much more often than him, and you will get paid by AK or KQ.

Reasonable hands that beat you on the river:

JJ (unlikely in the extreme)
AA (possible, but again highly unlikely)
QQ (unlikely)
K10 (no chance)
AQ (possible, but from UTG maybe not, depending on how tight this TAG is)

Why don't you raise the river, bro? This hand reeks of KK or AK to me.

Against a TAG I really don't like the PF call. The river seems really close to me and I can't decide what to do, probably just a math problem I'm too lazy to work out.

I think the pre-flop call was the most questionable of the first three streets. I kinda felt like I had the whole 'way ahead or way behind' thing going on the flop and turn. The river should have been a bet or a check-raise.

You guys really think the PF call was questionable??

Wow, I certainly don't. Why do you say that?

Matador is right! The lack of a river raise is troubling.
