bank roll requirement
I understand that there is general agreement that 300BB are a good bankroll for low limit holdem. But I've also heard that the bankroll requirements for loose low-limit omaha 8b are lower. Is this so? What, for example, would be comfortable bankroll for 2/4 Omaha 8b?
thanks, ssladler |

Re: bank roll requirement
bankroll requirements only count if you can win.
I think 100 would be a good start, if you burn through that, you can always add-on or recosider your limit. I started on PartyPoker with about 100. |

Re: bank roll requirement
Well, clearly, you could have your whole career started with a chip and a chair. What I'm really asking, I guess, is how much should I earn at .50/1 and 1/2 before moving up to 2/4?
It's not a question of ability I'm asking as much as how much you need to account for variations. I'd prefer to avoid the busting out and buying back in approach.. it's bad for my self-esteem. |

Re: bank roll requirement
You are actually about the same place I am. I started with 100BB, I have now have tripled up, but too my original money out. So, I have over 200BB in my bankroll.
I think a good way to look at moving it, is try out out when you have 100BB at the new level. If you go through two buy-ins (40BB) move back down. That will give you 120BB to try and rebuild from. Where are you playing? I am on party right now, and they usually only have 1 tem person 1/2 table going with 7 people on the wait-list. |

Re: bank roll requirement
100BB bare minimum. If you sit at 4 tables with 25BB there's your whole roll. If you run bad on one table and need to rebuy you can't.
200-300 should be enough. |

Re: bank roll requirement
Bradley, what if you only play one table at a time?

Re: bank roll requirement
based on:
-never playing pot limit -never playing for high only -not being a highly agressive or loose player -not playing at very aggressive tables then you should experience a lot less variance playing Omaha hi/lo than you would playing limit holdem at the same bet size. If you want exact numbers for bankroll size there aren't any, its what you are mentally comfortable with and what you can afford to lose. |

Re: bank roll requirement
Ack! Why would I want to play 4 tables? I'd have a hard time keeping track of my own cards, let alone what other people at the table are up to.
