AJo From the BB with Tight Limpers
This hand just came up. I think there are multiple spots that are interesting.
All three limpers are very tight (although the first one has a minimal sample). I feel AJo is a raise from the BB against loose players, but against tight ones? Then the flop. Many possibilities, but if the tight players limped in, they're more likely to have lower pairs or suited connectors, right? It seems that it would be very hard for any of them to call my bet after I raised from the BB. Then the turn. I have the straight draw, but not enough of a pot to call. How clean are my pair outs? Re: AJo From the BB with Tight Limpers
I really am not a fan of this raise from the BB, even considering that there is a poster.

I really am not a fan of this raise from the BB, even considering that there is a poster. [/ QUOTE ] Why not? Doesn't he probably have the best hand? In this situation, preflop, hero's share of the pot has to be bigger than his opponents. It also makes the hand play more easily after the flop (but this is a side benefit). |
