Empire bumped me to VIP! I had thought from the posts I read that it was just a myth but with only 1700 ep they bumped me. woo!

So, are there any real benefits of being a vip?

Main benefit: Get to RF club in half the time.

you get your points twice as fast.

if you spend those points that still doesn't count against your 'accumulated' total of points.
the points can be redeemed for cash-back or random empire merchandise.
I was using them for the 2k points WSOP-tourney each month.


The royal-flush club at 15k points is better...but it will take you awhile to get there.

Still...at 15k points you get $100 free each month DIRECTLY into your account (no raked-hands requirement) just for making a $1k deposit.

They also send a relatively nice Citizen's watch. And they occaasionally have $5k freerolls that are for royal-flush club members only.

At 25k points they send you a nice flat-screen TV. I'm at 24.5k points so I should be getting that fairly soon hopefully.

Actually I don't know how EPs are calculated. It's supposed to be the square root of raked hands, but there's no way I've played 1.21M raked hands at Empire Poker.

How much to you play there on a daily/weekly basis? I'm wondering if x number of hands in a given period of time gets you bumped. Also at what limit to you play? Thanks.

it's done daily.

so for raked hands....
if you play 400 raked-hands in a day then that's 20 points (or doubled to 40 points if you're VIP-status).


That's the funny (re: RETARDED) thing about the VIP club...the more you play the less you are earning per raked-hand.


100 hands in a day = 10 points
if you play 100 hands a day for 4 days = 40 points

but
900 hands in a day = 30 points


so ....
400 hands over 4 days is more points than 900 hands in 1 day.

In the lobby click on Options>VIP Account. The page it brings up should have your vip boints earned.
