Default QT in the BB.

Do it by hand..

Preflop:

UTG limps, SB calls, I check.

Flop: 5 Q 5 rainbow

SB bets, I raise, UTG folds.

Turn: K matches the Q suit

SB checks, I check.

I'm not the checking type (this is a super passive hand for me), but this is super standard for me given the board. Plan is to call/bet any river.

Just want to make sure this is standard for everyone else too.

I see the logic behind it, but I think your hand is too strong in this case to check the turn.

I like it a lot unless this villain would call both the turn and river with either ace high or a lower pocket pair. I don't think many villains would continue after the K came, however. You split with any Q and are now behind a king. Checking might induce a bluff from villain if his initial flop bet was a bluff. It also prevents you from being bluff checkraised and gives you a shot at hitting your 2 Q outs if he somehow has a 5.

against a super aggressive opponent a check isn't too bad, against a passive more predictable opponent I tend to bet here.
...actually I always bet here, WTF???

Too strong against what that calls me? Lower pocket pairs. I doubt ace high is calling very often. And any non-fish should've raised both those pf (but as we all know, most dont).

I lose one bet from smaller PPs.

I gain one bet against 5s and Ks.

It's a wash against Qs.

And I pick up a river bet from hands that were bluffing their first bet.

Also, am I folding to a turn c/r from a queen that now thinks he's cool and can c/r because he has a King kicker? What about his total bluff c/r's?

He's definitely agressive like most 6maxers.

Didn't read your replies 'cause I was still typing mine. I still don't like your thoughtline here. I think you should bet. A-hi is possible, not likely. Small pocket pair, very possible & very likely to call your river bet.
