Default Re: First turn/river bluff at 200NL - thoughts?

The turn min-raise makes no sense. Call if you want to play for the OESD, hoping you get a call behind you instead of a big raise. If button just calls, you would be getting 30:111 pot odds (3.7:1) to draw to 8 outs on the river (approx. 5.75:1). You would not have pot odds, but if you suspect you'd get a value bet out of the river if you hit, then the implied odds MIGHT make calling OK.

Another idea would be to raise in order to win. But a min-raise doesn't do it. Raising to at least $100 might fold him out. A psr would be more than you have, so pushing would be good unless you think it would look too suspicious and prompt a call from an ace-high hand for all your chips.

I just don't appreciate the purpose behind the min-raise.

As for the river bluff, as played, I think you're hand was probably good whether you bet or checked. Looks like missed over cards for UTG. If that's the case, a smaller bet might get a big ace (AK/AQ) to call just to see what you have. I think I would have checked behind and expected to win.
