Your friend has spyware that is redirecting his web browsing to it's home site. Only the person who owns the site couldn't be bothered to pay the bill that is why you're getting the non payment thing rather then a screen full of pop-ups trying to sell you viagra.
Download MS's antispyware program and it should clean this up.
