Default I\'m deciding if it\'s worth getting up to call my friend..

.. when i realise it's less energy to work out if he will be home or not than to actually get up and call him.

So, i realise the only time he isn't home is when he is at work. So i average his hours of working from the last 10 weeks, i then take that average compare it to the hours he will be at home and if that's more than 50% he's home i'm going to get up and call him, if not he can wait.

So while i'm doing this i wonder if it's worth taking a SB and a variance from all of this as well.

I wonder if my average is more than 50% but with a huge variance should i call?

In other words, in this example, what's the point in taking an SB and a variance?

Thanks.
