Default Re: Party 20+2: A couple of AQ\'s not well played

I've come to think of AQ as the best blind-stealing hand out there. I always breathe a sigh of relief when I don't have to show down with it.

AQ is so hard to play well that I've decided just to fold it to a raise if I'm not first in the pot at a full table. TPTK has gotten me into trouble way more often than I've won with it. If you track your stats, I think you'll agree.

That second hand must have been particularly scary. If you find yourself playing AQ like this often, try to tighten up with it. Limp from EP, raise from MP-LP, but use it aggressively when defending the blinds (it's a great hand for defensive reraising PF).

Anyway, that's what I've decided to do with it, and I know it sounds weak-tight, but it's just not as good a hand as it looks.
