Default Re: $100 for a monitor for non-overlap 4 tabling

[ QUOTE ]
Find a local used computer or computer parts store. Not Compusa but a little hole in the wall place that fixes computers and sells parts or used computers They will have about 100 monitors lying around for under $100.

I tried that, and had no luck finding any bargain prices for a decent monitor. I soon found I could get a better deal buying new.

I have 2 1600x1200 CRTs that are great. One is a refurbished Dell 21" I bought from Overstock.com for about $250 (they charge under $3 an order for shipping anything, even a huge CRT). The other is a Samsung 19" brand new from Best Buy for $179. You will sometimes find a 19" 1600x1200 on sale at some place like Office Depot for much less, but the refresh rate is so slow it will fry your eyeballs. You get what you pay for.
